When we first walked into this en-suite, the problem was immediately clear. The shower area was undersized for the room, the space wasn’t being used to its full potential, and the overall finish had fallen behind the standard of the rest of the home. The customer wanted a complete transformation something that felt considered, premium and built to last.

We stripped the room entirely and started fresh with a new layout, extending the shower to its absolute maximum length using a 1000mm fixed glass panel from Flair Showers. Porcelanosa Lexington Cognac tiles in a large format 45×120 were used throughout the shower area, giving the room warmth and depth while minimising grout lines for a cleaner finish. A twin concealed Vado shower valve with rainfall head and handset was fitted in brushed gold, with a large niche built into the shower wall for practical storage. The vanity area features a Laufen Base 2.0 wall-mounted unit with ceramic sit-on sink, under-mount sensor light and a Bristan basin tap and waste in matching brushed gold every fixture in the same finish, consistent throughout. A Villeroy & Boch O.Novo back-to-wall WC with concealed cistern and soft close seat and Khars Jasmund luxury plank flooring complete the room, which was fully decorated from top to bottom.

Pauline came to us with a bathroom that had been working against her for years. The layout was cramped, the room felt dark, and getting to the sink meant navigating a space that had never been properly thought through. She wanted it done once, done right, and done to a standard that would last. We redesigned the layout from scratch, opening the space up properly and making every inch work.

The walls were finished in Matrix 600 Stone tile effect wetwall seamless, clean and built to look exactly the same in twenty years as it does today. Crème marble LVT flooring replaced what was there before, immediately lifting the room and bringing in the warmth and light that had been missing. A 1600 x 750 stone shower tray with twin outlet Mira electric shower gave Pauline a proper showering experience for the first time, while an oak floor-standing combined vanity unit with polymarble one-piece basin and top anchored the room with real character.

Brass fixtures were carried consistently throughout every detail basin mixer tap, straight towel warmer, BTW round WC push button and seat cover nothing left to chance. Four LED spotlights and a matt ceiling replaced the darkness entirely, with a 500mm LED mirror completing the finish. Full design, supply and installation by Tayside Plumbers five working days from start to finish, exactly as planned.
